When I was going towards office I saw a small stage set-up and two guys were playing and it did not sound much interesting. But I somehow chose to skip lunch and go and visit the place ( Because earlier experience has taught me not to skip ANY MUSIC EVENTS) And guess what, I was surprised when the singer of the song ‘O Hum dum Suniyo Re from the movie SAATHIYA, turned up for a live performance
I just loved the following things
- The way he connected with the audience
- He gave chance to the drummer, the guitarist and the pianist to do solo and the drummer did take the opportunity
When the drummer was not able to give the correct rhythm, he just went over to him, smiled at him and through his mouth showed the rhythm - Before every song, he checked with the instrument players( because singing songs based on audience request) whether they were okay with that song
- He was prepared for ANY SONG that the audience may come up with ( at least even a few lines for the popular songs)
- He was very jovial, come down the stage, made the audience sing with him and seemed to be enjoying every bit on the stage, unlike some other singers who seem like they just lost a BIG lottery
