I was looking for something funny and was going through the darkmatter2525 channel and stumbled across the video ‘Trading Fairy Tales‘ and at 2:22, I heard this beautiful piano cover and I instantly knew it was from the song ‘Stairway to heaven’. I might have heard the song ( thanks to repeated suggestions from Melvin) several times before but it never touched me. But today, at this hour, it was different. I had an immediate urge that I should play it on the keyboard. I listened to the song and tried to play that, but could not get the notes, right away. Even though I did not know note reading, I googled for the ‘piano notes for stairway to heaven’ and got this

Took a print out of the notes and kept it on the keyboard stand. Now the biggest problem ! I do not know, how to read the notes ! So this is what I did, I looked at the notes and then played a note on the keyboard and looked at the LCD display of the keyboard and it showed the music notation of that note. I compared that with the music notation on the printed sheet. And continued this until I got the whole song. Once I identified the keys, then I started playing it repeatedly, until the notes registered in my mind ๐
Now I can play the intro of the song Stairway to heaven and I want to make Melvin listen to this and I am sure, he will be happy
After incorporating the suggestion from Melvin, I could try adding more notes using songsterr.ย The possibilities are endless now.
